Questions, answered
What is a metal NFC business card?
A business card made of metal with a small NFC chip inside. When someone taps it on their phone, your contact card, profile, website or any link opens in the browser. There’s nothing to install, and you can change where it points without ordering a new card.
Does the other person need an app?
No. iPhones (7 and newer) and most Android phones read NFC natively. If a phone can’t tap, the engraved QR code opens the same link with the camera.
How much does an Abutic metal NFC card cost?
Steel is $29.99 with front engraving, or $35 with front and back, and $25 per card at 5 or more. Copper, the premium finish, is $39.99, $44.99 with front and back, and $30 per card at 5 or more. US shipping is free; Canada and other countries pay a flat $19. Abutic+ members get 20% off cards. There’s no required subscription.
Steel or copper: which should I pick?
Steel (silver engraving on matte black) is the most popular and reads clean and modern. Copper (a brass card with gold-tone engraving on matte black) is warmer and bolder. Both are 1 mm thick and use the same NFC chip. Steel is $29.99; copper is $39.99.
How long does it take to arrive?
You get a design mockup within 24 hours. Nothing is engraved until you approve it. Standard US delivery is 7–10 business days after approval; expedited (+$5) is 4–5 business days.
Can I change the link or details later?
Yes. The card points to your Abutic profile or any URL you choose, so edits go live instantly with no reprint. The chip isn’t locked to Abutic either.
Can I order cards for my whole team?
Yes. Pricing drops to $25 per card at 5 or more. Each checkout uses one design, so for a card per person with different names, use Abutic for Teams or contact us.
What if my card stops working or I lose it?
Defective cards are replaced free under the lifetime warranty, and lost or damaged cards are replaced free for life too (one free replacement per card each year), with the same design and the same link. There’s also a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Do metal cards work through a phone case?
Through most standard cases, yes. Very thick, magnetic or metal cases can block NFC, which is what the engraved QR code is for.
