Abutic may use SMS/text messaging to respond to customer inquiries and missed calls when you have affirmatively opted in. These messages are limited to customer-care communication about your specific inquiry. They are not marketing, advertising, promotional offers, or unrelated messages. Consent to SMS is not a condition of purchasing or using Abutic’s services.
If you voluntarily call Abutic and the call is answered, the call proceeds normally and SMS consent is not requested. If the call is unanswered while you remain connected, you may hear an automated voice disclosure offering a text regarding your inquiry. You must press 1 on the telephone keypad to opt in. Simply calling Abutic does not constitute SMS consent. A text is sent only after you press 1.
If you press 1, you may receive customer-care text messages about that inquiry. Those messages may be sent through service providers that Abutic uses to provide its customer-care messaging service. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and any replies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
We use your mobile number and related messaging information to send and receive those customer-care texts, to honor opt-out requests, and to operate the messaging service. We do not sell mobile numbers or SMS consent, and we do not share them with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
The production consent mechanism is documented on the SMS Terms & Consent page.
As described in How we share information, we may disclose information to processors (including hosting and telephony or messaging providers) solely as needed to operate Abutic and the messaging service. They are not given this information to market their own products. We may also share information if required by law or to protect the service or other people.
